Well I would prefer that Alain and I just arrived as Astro and Zack just caught up to us. Sera could already be there or come down a different trail.
I prefer to meet people through RP myself. Rather then have that happen off book.
Does that work for everyone? Or does some one else have another idea?

Storm King's ThunderPlayers in this Team will be the first meeting as the follow the High Road towards Nightstone town. Players might be traveling together or meeting along the way. Why each character is going there is what I'm striving for us to establish story-wise (of course, it'll be a great opportunity to start working on your character's personality). Nightstone is often cited among adventure circles as a great place to go if you're looking for some coin, some of you may have heard that the town's Innkeeper had a good nose for lucrative adventuring opportunities. The town is also known for a being a popular retreat for wealthy Nobles who wish to hunt in Ardeep Forest and may be in need of some escort. Nightstone has also had a bad history with its neighbors and word could have reached you that Lady Velrose is looking for skilled negotiators to deal with the conflict. Or, finally, you might have heard that the settlement has been having problems with filthy little goblins who terrorize the farmers in the outskirts of the town. Or, you can just come up with something that you find interesting. You were just going there for some personal reason and fate led you all to arrive together at a very auspicious time.

The nice thing about fantasy settings is that, although poor story-telling, "The Gods wanted" is always a viable answer to any questions.

As long as that God is Clangeddin Silverbeard I am on board.

Well the nice thing about being a hired bodyguard is I don't have to think. I'm sure Astro will come up with a fine reason.
Also, I'm sure the town has a tavern.

If there still is one considering the state of the keep and the lack of villagers...

On second thought you two should go ahead and about the village. It is probably a trap.

If there still is one considering the state of the keep and the lack of villagers... Still a logical starting point. It IS a famous starting point for adventurers. Besides, the larder and cellar might still be stocked.

If this was Curse of Strahd I would say Zombie Apocalypse but since it is Storm giant thunder... I am going to guess a guy to sell you magic beans. Did any one bring a cow?

So do I as a Dwarf, and follower of the Giantkiller, Clangeddin Silverbeard, know that throw boulders probably means a giant attack? Cause I do not want to leap to any conclusions IC if it is too early.

Well, since there are no trebuchet's around you could entertain that possibility. But apart from that, so forth, there are no signs that would distinctively sets it apart from siege weapons.
