Her pet flying snake, still coiled around her neck, studied Sera with interest. "I was in my room when this stone feels, I blacked out and only woke up when the people had already left. I tried to escape too, but then these green little pests appeared and started breaking into everyone's houses; I hid here until you arrived."

"I'll help you get out, do you have family somewhere you can go to?" She said after taking in the information. She was surprised there were no dead bodies around.
Sera looked at the snake and raised her hand to it, showing she meant no harm.
