Aestro picks up and reads the discarded note before likewise discarding it and following the pair.

"That is all I am. Just a fighter." Orirdrik replied with a firm nod. "Clangeddin blesses me with the odd gift now and then but I all I am is a soldier for the cause." He stomped beside her and started idly whistling. Realizing she'd never have an element of surprise anywhere as long as she was accompanied by this particular dwarf, Alain decided against asking him to stop whistling. Instead, she kept an eye on their destination and what she could see through the gate, hoping to spot potential approaching enemies before they spotted them, as well as get a better idea of drawbridge mechanisms. As they approach the gate, Alain spots some dust being raised along the road. Whatever reinforcement Kella had been waiting for was about to arrive.
She also finds a lever in which of the drawbridge towers, she deduces that they must be pulled together in order to pull up the bridge.
[The two of you will roll STR DC12, the two must pass to raise 30 degrees. You have to accomplish it three times to fully raise the bridge, but the reinforcements will arrive in three rounds.]

Orirdrik reached out and took the lever. He growled and gave it a mighty pull.

Alain got into the other tower to pull the other lever.

Alain lacks the strength to pull the levers efficiently and in synch with Grim. As they are about to try another time, they hear several footsteps against the wooden bridge. From inside the tower they couldn't see how many they were, but by the sound of it, it seemed they were at least half a dozen.
