My plans are to get a group of 5 or 6 for the campaign, although, if more people are willing to join our fun little play site maybe I can put up another campaign for a second group or something along the lines. We'll think about it when/if it happens.
Lost Mines of Phandelver is the first official module Wizards of the Coast released for 5e, it takes players from level 1 through 5 in a course of 5 Chapters. It's the very same adventure that comes with the introductory book which means that it could be a nice first step for us. In case someone has already played it, we can discuss going with another one.
PLEASE, DON'T LOOK IT UP! Doing so may ruin the experience.
--------
Secondly, I thought up of a Colosseum type side game. This side game could either be played with Seconds or. if you wish, your main character but with an unrelated level progression. This game mode will be comprised of weekly thematic arena fights or challenges. And would be purely formy own selfish amusement you to try out new mechanics/spells/homebrews/classes/whatever while having the fun of a good ole fight with no relation to the Main Campaign.
I.e. Let's say, one week I'll have you fighting a Terrasque while trying not to fall from a tightrope. Or maybe we could have an Under the Sea Theme, and fight only subaquatic monsters in a subaquatic arena. Or we could even have PVP fights! Our imagination is the limit.
--------
UPDATE: With the new idea of making two groups I'll be using Storm King's Thunder as the Campaign for Team 2. Unlike LMoP, SKT is a longer Adventure, taking characters from Level 1 through 11. Which means that this Team would be mostly focused on this narrative, while Team 1 would probably embark on completely different storyline after Level 5. Just a heads up.
--------
UPDATE 2: Another change of plans. Party is closed. We'll be just one big party fighting through Storm King's Thunder. I'll just have to scale up some fights, but that's easy. The party can always split up during exploration and stuff, so it shouldn't be that big of a problem. I'll impose a 12 hour answer time during Combat and we'll see how it goes, we may change it if it doesn't prove to be useful.
Anyway, get ready. This Adventure is awesome.
